Who am I.
Brazil, better known as Lúcio, I am painter and draftsman born in November 1958 from 01 in Comari neighborhood located in Campo Grande in Rio de Janeiro.

How art came into my life.
In the early 1970s of the last century, watching the uncle of a friend painting, influenced I started in the world of fine arts. In 1977, driven by a friend, I began my studies drawing and painting with Ceres teacher at Casa Cruz branch of Campo Grande, where in the same year, I made my first collective sample.
The first works of this period, signed as Lúcio, have mostly various still lifes and some small paintings depicting countryside, historic towns and rural environments. Reinterpretations to oils, painted from photos of art magazines preview.
In the 1980s, I also developed a taste for, photography and was gradually integrating me the abstract current. My job description.
Self-taught, my work is focused on affective memories. The means and the trends that I use can simultaneously change from one painting to the next, what really matters is to overflow and express through the colors and shapes my feelings and desires, is a search for materializing an idea, a mixture of pleasure and pain that disturbs. Following what guides my creative verve, free from any academic commitment, my works are endowed with ideas joints. Without a central meaning, reflect my mood and my child's perspective. My marginal status in relation to influencing factors, may facilitate the flourishing of my inventiveness and spontaneity, born of their own artistic impulse face creative activity, draws attention by the fine features, the combination of images and colors. The freedom to explore my ideas, I have not the slightest commitment to represent the apparent reality; concrete. Without considering the limits of the lines, to me, the most important are the colors and shapes, my gestures and expressions are combined and the rhythmic, harmonious dynamism and the bright colors, have the aim of stimulating sensations and emotions. Influences.
Not subject to the artistic theories, my job moves by several trends, sometimes through the informality, neoplasticismo and Neoconcretism, sometimes by Futurism, Cubism and Suprematism. These trends have been important for the evolution of my artistic expression, he released me from conventional landscapes techniques and allowed to seek the more real spirit of art.

Essence.
Happy with the general proportions of the traits passed down through colors and shapes, I see the images created in my mind as the innocent style of a child.

After a few years away, in 2013 I regained my artistic activity and production has accumulated several dozen works. Gradually, always trying to seek perfection of lines and colors, I myself perfecting this long walk.
